Mila Kunis and James Franco act together in Wizard: James Franco is reportedly onboard to play the wizard in The Wizard of Oz prequel The Great and the Powerful, but is Mila Kunis joining as well? Vulture reports Black Swan actress Mila Kunis, 27, has walked away from the Hughes Brothers-directed live-action '80s remake Akira in favor of the Oz film.

The film’s director, Sam Riami, and James Franco reportedly approached Kunis to play Theodorah, the younger sister of Evanorah, who eventually becomes the Wicked Witch of the West.

MTV reports that after a meeting with Kunis, she was deemed perfect for the part, which made Franco officially accept an offer to star in the film. The two stars’ involvement in the film has yet to be confirmed, however. There is also little known about the plot, except that it is a prequel to the original 1939 film.
