Best known for her roles as Jackie Burkhart in That 70’s Show and as the voice of Meg on the hit animated series Family Guy, Mila Kunis has also established herself as a feature film star with an impressive resume that includes the Mike Judge comedy Extract, the action thriller Max Payne and the Judd Apatow comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Mila Kunis Interview THE BOOK OF ELI

Currently filming the Darren Aronofsky thriller Black Swan, in which she plays a professional ballerina, her next release is The Book of Eli, in which she plays Solara, an innocent girl wanting to discover what else life could offer her, in a world that has been ravaged by apocalyptic wars. With Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman already attached as co-stars and the Hughes Brothers already set to direct, it was an easy choice for her to take on the multi-layered role. Mila Kunis talked at the film’s press day about her desire to play strong women who aren’t the victim. Read what she had to say after the jump.

When it comes to gaming, there are actresses who show up to the occasional Los Angeles game launch event for photo ops, and then there’s Mila Kunis. Mila Kunis Interview (a.k.a. Meg Griffin on Family Guy)

October 1, 2009 |16:11 | Interviews  By : Team X

Mila Kunis Interview (aka Meg Griffin on Family Guy)When she was just seven years old, Mila Kunis's parents picked up everything they had- which wasn't much- and left Russia to provide their children with the options they themselves had lacked. Now, 18 years later, Mila is a working actress and her brother is a Berkeley-educated scientist. Good move, folks.
In the post- That '70s Show era, Ms. Kunis (a.k.a. Meg Griffin on Family Guy) is finally free to explore the wider world of film; she's starting with a bang (and a bikini) in Judd Apatow's newest crude comedy, Forgetting Sarah Marshall. In between marathon World of Warcraft sessions with boyfriend Macaulay Culkin, she sat down with Complex to talk about swinging Vikings, invisibility, and Chuck Norris. See? Celebrities really are just like us!

Was acting in a movie with Judd Apatow's crew fun after being on a sitcom for so long?
Mila Kunis: It's such a different way of making a comedy. Doing '70s was so scripted. It was word for word- you had 20 pages, you don't improv, you don't really have much say, you just kind of do what you're told. You come to a Judd set, and it's a free-for-all. They hire you because they trust you: "Don't fuck up, and enjoy yourself; go have fun." I've never gone through so many feet of film before in my life- you improv and some stuff sticks, some stuff doesn't.

Mila Kunis Interview EXTRACT

September 3, 2009 |13:36 | Interviews  By : Team X

Mila Kunis Interview EXTRACTWhen Mila Kunis was on “That 70’s Show”, I never thought she’d make the transition to movie star. But over the past few years, that’s exactly what she’s done with starring roles in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”, “Max Payne”, “The Book of Eli”, and writer-director Mike Judge’s new film “Extract”. In “Extract”, Mila plays the femme fatale role, and she’s great.

Anyway, I recently participated in a roundtable interview with Mila and she talked about her career, making “Extract”, “Family Guy”, “Black Swan”, Comic-Con, “Date Night”, college, and a lot more. It’s a great interview so take a look. And remember, “Extract” opens this weekend and you all need to go see it!

As usual, you can either read the transcript below or listen to the audio of the roundtable interview by clicking here. Finally, for a taste of the awesomeness that is “Extract”, click here to watch some clips.

Question: You were in the sequel to ‘American Psycho’.

Kunis: Oh my God, you’re the third person with that question today. Do we have to?

People look at you and see a real bad person there, right?

Kunis: It’s two movies in the seventeen year long career. It’s not that bad.

I think Jackie -

Kunis: She never stole. She was just slightly self-obsessed.

Ringo used to say, ‘It’s just my face -’

Kunis: Are you trying to say that I can be a pathological liar who’s also a kleptomaniac?

Someone might think so. They cast you. I didn’t.

Mila Kunis Interview EXTRACTKunis: Possibly? You know what, I don’t know. I thought the script was really funny. I thought the character was really funny. It’s very possible that I could look like a kleptomaniac and a pathological liar and that’s why I keep getting hired.

Did you do any research?

Kunis: Stealing things?

Winona Ryder style.

Kunis: I knew that’s where you were going to go with this one. I did not do any research. Nope, I didn’t feel like I needed to go method for this one because I’d be in jail and then Nancy Ryder would kill me.

Do you think this is where Jackie could’ve ended up if she didn’t have a good family?

Kunis: Jackie didn’t have a good family. Did you ever watch the show? Her mom was in Cancun. Her dad was in jail.

They had money.

Kunis: That does not constitute a good family, having money. If Jackie was poor - here’s the difference; I’m not quite sure that Jackie would’ve ever been smart enough to get away. I think she would’ve been caught much earlier in her life. I think that Cindy has the tendency to be a couple of steps ahead and so she’s able to kind of keep going with this process of manipulating people. I think that Jackie - I don’t know, it’s hard to say - was every the sharpest tool in the shed.

Factory Girl Mila Kunis

August 31, 2009 |13:27 | Interviews  By : Team X

Factory Girl Mila KunisIn “Extract,” Mike Judge’s latest film about life as a worker bee, Mila Kunis plays sexy scam artist Cindy, who has her sights set on factory boss Joel (Jason Bateman). But while Cindy is often manipulative, using her god-given assets to get what she wants, Kunis’ own success in film and television wasn’t quite as calculated. Born in Kiev, she began acting at age nine after her family moved to the United States, and at 14 she landed a role in the ensemble cast of the hit “That 70’s Show.” “It happened very organically and all very accidentally,” says the 26-year-old.

Talk about happy accidents. Up next, Kunis will appear in “The Book of Eli” opposite Denzel Washington, and this fall she starts production on “Black Swan,” in which she and Natalie Portman play rival ballerinas. To prepare, Kunis has been spending four hours a day, seven days a week in dance classes. “It is one of the toughest things I’ve ever done in my life,” she says. “My entire body hurts. My muscle, my bone, everything.”

From her hair and makeup chair in Los Angeles, just before a premiere of “Extract,” Kunis chatted with WWD.

WWD: What attracted you to this film?
Mila Kunis: I’m a huge fan of Mike Judge’s and I wanted to work with Bateman. It was a pretty easy decision.
